Ingredients

For the Cinnamon Dolce Syrup:

For the Latte:

  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee or 1–2 shots of espresso, chilled
  • ½ cup whole milk or any milk of your choice
  • 2-3 tablespoons cinnamon dolce syrup to taste
  • Ice cubes
  • Whipped cream optional

Instructions

Make the Cinnamon Dolce Syrup:

  • In a small saucepan, combine the brown sugar, water, and ground cinnamon. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves (about 2–3 minutes). Remove from heat, stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Let the syrup cool.

Prepare the Latte:

  • Fill a tall glass with ice. Add the chilled coffee or espresso, milk, and 2–3 tablespoons of the cinnamon dolce syrup. Stir well to combine.
  • Top with whipped cream and sprinkle with a little extra cinnamon. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness: Start with 2 tablespoons of syrup, then add more if needed.
  • Use strong coffee: If you don’t have espresso, brew your coffee stronger than usual for a bolder flavor that stands up to the milk and syrup.
  • Chill the coffee first: Let your brewed coffee or espresso cool completely before pouring it over ice to avoid dilution.
  • Go dairy-free: Almond milk, oat milk, or soy milk all work beautifully. Oat milk gives a creamy texture that’s especially nice in iced drinks.
  • Make it hot: Just skip the ice, heat the milk, and combine everything in a mug for a hot Cinnamon Dolce Latte.
  • Prep ahead: The homemade syrup can be stored in the fridge for up to a week. Make a batch and you’re ready for iced lattes all week long.
