Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 cup honey
  • Optional flavorings like vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Add the honey to the stand mixer bowl and attach the whisk. Whisk for 15-20 minutes on medium speed until the honey turns pale and is light and airy.
  • If you want to add any flavor, add it at this stage and whisk for one more minute. Some good options are vanilla extract, cinnamon, or ginger powder. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.

Notes

  • Ensure the honey is at room temperature before whipping. Cold honey can be too thick to whip properly.
  • Crystalized honey can be used for whipping. However, before whipping, place it in a warm water bath for a few minutes to dissolve the crystals.
  • A stand mixer with a whisk attachment is ideal for whipping honey. It allows for even aeration and a smooth, fluffy texture.
