Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 package crescent roll dough
  • 8 hot dogs
  • 16 edible candy eyeballs

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 350℉ for about 5 minutes.
  • Unroll the crescent roll sheet and separate it into triangles. Use a pizza cutter or knife to slice each triangle into thin strips, about ¼ inch wide.
  • Take one hot dog and wrap it with the dough strips, leaving a small gap near the top for the “face.” Continue until the hot dog is mostly covered and looks like a mummy.
  • Repeat with the remaining hot dogs.
  • Place the wrapped hot dogs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they don’t touch. Cook at 350℉ for 5-7 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove the mummy dogs and let them cool for 2 minutes. Add two candy eyeballs to the uncovered gap. If needed, use a tiny bit of mustard or ketchup to help them stick.
  • Serve warm with ketchup, mustard, or your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 325 for 3-4 minutes until warmed through.
  • Make ahead: Wrap the hot dogs in dough up to 4 hours ahead and refrigerate until ready to air fry.
  • Eye placement: If candy eyeballs aren’t available, use small dots of mustard or cream cheese as eyes.
