These air fryer mummy dogs are the perfect spooky Halloween snack. These fun Halloween snacks are crisp on the outside, tender inside, and guaranteed to be a hit at any party.
Preheat the air fryer to 350℉ for about 5 minutes.
Unroll the crescent roll sheet and separate it into triangles. Use a pizza cutter or knife to slice each triangle into thin strips, about ¼ inch wide.
Take one hot dog and wrap it with the dough strips, leaving a small gap near the top for the “face.” Continue until the hot dog is mostly covered and looks like a mummy.
Repeat with the remaining hot dogs.
Place the wrapped hot dogs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they don’t touch. Cook at 350℉ for 5-7 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
Remove the mummy dogs and let them cool for 2 minutes. Add two candy eyeballs to the uncovered gap. If needed, use a tiny bit of mustard or ketchup to help them stick.
Serve warm with ketchup, mustard, or your favorite dipping sauces.
Notes
Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 325℉ for 3-4 minutes until warmed through.
Make ahead: Wrap the hot dogs in dough up to 4 hours ahead and refrigerate until ready to air fry.
Eye placement: If candy eyeballs aren’t available, use small dots of mustard or cream cheese as eyes.
