Equipment

Ingredients

  • 9 eggs at room temperature (or as many as needed)
  • Salt and pepper to taste, for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 245℉ for 3 minutes. Once preheated, carefully place the basket with the eggs into the air fryer.
  • Cook the eggs in the air fryer at 245℉ for 16 minutes.
  • Carefully remove the eggs from the air fryer and transfer them to a bowl of ice water to cool for 5 minutes.
  • Once cooled, peel the eggs and serve immediately, or store them in the refrigerator for later use.

Notes

  • Allow the eggs to sit at room temperature for about 15-20 minutes before cooking. This helps them cook more evenly and reduces the risk of cracking.
  • If you are running out of time and use cold eggs straight from the fridge, increase the cooking time by one minute.
  • There's no need to poke holes in the eggs before cooking them in the air fryer. They will cook perfectly without any punctures.
  • Ensure that the eggs are not overcrowded in the air fryer basket. Leave enough space for air circulation to promote even cooking.
  • If you're unsure about doneness, crack one open to check. You can adjust the cooking time based on your preference for softer or firmer yolks.
